Who They're For and What They Solve
Walk-in tub installation replaces a standard bathtub with one built around a watertight hinged door. Instead of stepping over a seventeen-inch wall, you open the door and walk across a threshold closer to four inches. Inside there is a built-in seat, grab bars, and controls placed within easy reach.
Most people we install for are over sixty-five, though not all. We also work with homeowners recovering from hip or knee replacement, people managing arthritis or multiple sclerosis, and adult children arranging a bathroom their parent can actually use alone. A single fall, or one close call, is usually what starts the conversation.
The problem a walk-in tub solves is the step-over, which is where most bathroom falls begin. Left alone, people stop bathing properly, switch to sponge baths, or start needing a family member in the room. That loss of privacy tends to arrive long before anyone admits it out loud.
Is It Time?
Most people wait longer than they should. These are the moments that tell us it is time.
Our Services
Walk-in tubs come in several configurations, and the right one depends on your bathroom, your mobility, and your budget.
The straightforward option: low threshold, hinged door, built-in seat, no jet system. Best when the goal is safe entry and a full-depth soak without added plumbing or electrical work. This is our most common installation and the fastest to complete.
These add air jets, water jets, or both for arthritis, circulation, and chronic joint pain. Jetted models need a dedicated electrical circuit, so we handle permitting and licensed electrical work as part of the job rather than subcontracting it out.
Built with an outward-swinging door and a wider entry for transfers from a wheelchair or transfer bench. These require the most floor clearance, which is the first thing we measure during the assessment.
Most homeowners qualify for this. We remove the existing tub and fit the new unit into the same alcove, reusing the existing drain and supply lines. It keeps cost and disruption down considerably.
Not sure which approach your situation needs? We assess first and recommend only what’s necessary, no upsells.

How It Works
Call 951-458-6466. We measure the alcove, check floor clearance, inspect plumbing, and discuss which tub configuration fits.
You receive one written price covering everything, valid thirty days. No deposit required to hold it.
We protect floors and hallways, remove the old tub, set the new unit, connect plumbing and electrical, and haul away the debris.
We demonstrate the door seal, drain timing, and controls, then hand over warranty paperwork before we leave.
Pricing
We publish real numbers because hiding them wastes everyone’s time.
Most installed walk-in tub projects land between $6,500 and $14,000. A soaker unit dropped into an existing alcove sits at the low end. A hydrotherapy or wheelchair-accessible model needing electrical work, floor repair, or alcove modification runs higher.
Four things move the price: the tub type you choose, whether the existing alcove and plumbing can be reused, whether a dedicated circuit is required, and the condition of the subfloor underneath the old tub.
Your quote is flat-rate and covers the tub, labor, permits, and disposal. Call for an exact figure.
Most conversions using the existing alcove are completed in one day. Jobs needing subfloor repair or electrical runs can extend to two.
No. In most homes we work only within the existing tub alcove, so tile, vanity, and flooring stay untouched.
Usually yes for plumbing, and always for new electrical circuits. We pull them and handle inspection as part of the quote.
Expect roughly $2,000 to $4,000 more for a hydrotherapy model, mostly from the jet system and required electrical work.
The seal is the component we warranty for life. Call 951-458-6466 if it ever fails and we come out.

Often, yes. Walk-in tubs are typically shorter than standard tubs, which is why we measure clearance before quoting.
