Who They're For and What They Solve
Dryer vent installation is the building of a complete exhaust path from your dryer to the outdoors. That means running rigid or semi-rigid metal duct, sealing every joint without interior screws, cutting a termination point through the wall or roof, and fitting an exterior cap with a working backdraft damper.
You need installation when no duct path exists yet, or when the existing one cannot be salvaged. New laundry rooms, relocated dryers, remodels, and new construction all fall here. So does replacing crushed foil flex duct, which traps lint and fails inspection almost every time an inspector looks at it.
Installation solves the core problem of a dryer with nowhere safe to exhaust. Without it, heat and moisture dump into a wall cavity, attic, or crawlspace. That drives mold, sagging drywall, and lint buildup against warm surfaces. Done properly once, the system runs clean for years.
Is It Time?
Most people call me for one of four reasons.
Our Services
Every install falls into one of four scenarios, and each one takes a different approach.
Building the duct path from scratch where none exists. I map the shortest viable route, frame the penetration, run rigid metal duct, and terminate outdoors. This is the most common install in remodels and new laundry spaces.
Replacing foil or plastic flex with smooth-wall rigid duct. Flex duct sags, kinks, and collects lint in every ridge. Rigid duct holds airflow, passes inspection, and stops the yearly clog cycle homeowners keep paying for.
Cutting, flashing, and sealing the outlet, then fitting a cap with a functioning damper. Wall terminations are preferred. Roof terminations get proper flashing and a cap rated for that pitch so water stays out.
When the dryer sits far from any exterior wall, developed length becomes the constraint and every elbow eats into it. I calculate the run, reduce turns where possible, and add an inline booster when the geometry demands it.
Not sure which approach your situation needs? We assess first and recommend only what’s necessary, no upsells.
Why Homeowners Choose Mr. Local Services
Since 2001, dryer vents are all I do. Not HVAC. Not general handyman work. That focus is why the duct math and code details get handled correctly the first time.
You get a written number after the site assessment. No hourly creep, no change order once the wall is already open. The quote is the price.
If the install does not pass inspection, I come back and correct it at no charge. That commitment is in writing alongside the workmanship warranty.
Drop cloths go down before anything else. Debris leaves with me, and I run an airflow test before packing up so you see the finished system actually move air.

How It Works
Call 951-458-6466 and tell me where the dryer sits and what exists now. Most jobs get scoped over the phone in under five minutes.
I measure the run, count elbows, confirm the termination point, and hand you a written flat-rate price. No obligation to proceed.
Rigid duct goes in, joints are sealed without interior screws, and the exterior cap is flashed and fitted with a working damper.
I verify airflow at the termination, show you the finished work, and leave the warranty documentation with you.
Pricing
I publish real numbers because vague pricing wastes everyone’s time. Most residential installs land between $250 and $650, and the quote you receive is flat.
Four factors move the price: total duct length, number of elbows required, whether the termination is a wall or roof penetration, and how accessible the run is once walls or ceilings are involved. Long runs needing a booster fan sit at the upper end.
Every quote includes rigid metal duct, all fittings and sealing, the exterior cap with damper, cleanup, and the post-install airflow test. Call 951-458-6466 for a number specific to your layout.
Code generally caps developed length at 35 feet, and every elbow subtracts from that total. I calculate it during the assessment.
Yes, with proper flashing and a pitch-rated cap. I prefer wall terminations when possible because they resist water intrusion better.
No. Installation builds the duct path. Cleaning removes lint from an existing one. Different jobs, different pricing.
I do not install it. Foil flex traps lint, kinks easily, and fails inspection routinely. Rigid metal duct is what goes in.
Failed inspections are handled through our code compliance services, where I correct the specific items the inspector cited and document the fix for re-inspection.
Most single-family installs finish in three to five hours. Long runs or roof terminations can extend into a full day.
Quotes are same-day by phone, and installs are typically scheduled within 48 hours. Call 951-458-6466.
Flat-rate quote, rigid metal duct, and a code-compliant install backed in writing. Installs are scheduling within 48 hours.
