Who They're For and What They Solve
Carpentry services cover the cutting, fitting, joining, and finishing of wood within a structure. That spans rough work like framing walls and floor systems, and finish work like trim, molding, cabinets, doors, stairs, and built-ins. One trade, two very different skill sets.
Homeowners need carpentry when remodeling a room, replacing damaged wood, adding storage, or correcting doors and windows that no longer sit square. Landlords call between tenants. Business owners call for buildouts, shelving, counters, and repairs that keep a space usable.
Carpentry solves rot, poor fit, weak structure, and dated millwork. Left alone, damaged wood spreads moisture into framing, small gaps become structural movement, and a repair that once cost a few hundred dollars turns into a rebuild costing several thousand.
Is It Time?
Most people know something is off before they know what to call it.
Our Services
Our carpentry services run the full sequence, from the structure behind the walls to the final piece of trim you actually see.
Structural work: wall framing, floor and ceiling joists, subfloors, roof framing, blocking, and load-bearing modifications. This is the work that has to be plumb, level, and square before anything else can be. Get it right and every finish stage that follows lines up.
The visible layer: baseboards, casing, crown molding, wainscoting, chair rail, and wood accent walls. Tight miters, no gaps, no nail holes left showing. This is where craftsmanship either reads as finished or reads as rushed, and it is judged at eye level every day.
Cabinet installation, custom built-ins, shelving, window seats, bookcases, closet systems, and counters. Boxes shimmed level, doors and drawers aligned, hardware set consistently. Built-ins are measured to your actual opening rather than forced to fit a stock size.
Rot removal, sill and jamb replacement, deck and stair rebuilds, siding trim repair, and correcting prior workmanship. We cut back to sound material, address the moisture source, and rebuild with treated or matched stock so the repair outlasts the original.
Not sure which approach your situation needs? We assess first and recommend only what’s necessary, no upsells.
Why Homeowners Choose Mr. Local Services
You receive a line-itemed scope and a fixed number. That figure does not change unless you approve a written change order for work outside the original scope.
One crew covers framing through final trim. You are not coordinating a framer, a trim carpenter, and a cabinet installer who each blame the other.
If a joint opens, trim lifts, or a cabinet shifts out of alignment, we come back and correct it. The guarantee is issued on paper at completion.
Carpentry cannot be quoted accurately over the phone. We look at the actual wood, measure the actual opening, then price it.

How It Works
Call 951-458-6466 and describe the work. We schedule an on-site assessment within 48 hours, at no cost to you.
We inspect the wood, check for hidden damage, take measurements, and deliver a fixed-price written quote with a defined scope and timeline.
Crew arrives on the scheduled date with materials staged. Dust containment goes up, work areas are protected, and the site is cleaned at the end of each day.
The owner inspects the completed work with you. Anything short of standard gets corrected before we leave, and your written workmanship guarantee is issued.
Pricing
We publish real numbers because vague pricing wastes everyone’s time. Carpentry pricing depends on scope, not square footage alone.
Factors that move the price: material selection (pine, poplar, oak, or hardwood), the extent of hidden damage behind the surface, structural versus cosmetic work, and access difficulty such as height or tight interiors.
Typical ranges: trim and molding installation runs $600–$2,400 per room. Cabinet installation runs $1,200–$4,500 depending on box count. Wood rot repair runs $450–$3,200 based on how far the damage traveled. Framing is quoted per project after assessment.
Your assessment is free and your quote is fixed. Call for a real number on your specific job.
Rough carpentry is structural framing hidden inside walls and floors. Finish carpentry is the visible millwork installed afterward. Structural framing falls under our rough carpentry services if that is your entire project.
Trim in a single room typically takes one to two days. Cabinet installation runs two to four days. Framing and structural repairs depend on damage extent, confirmed in your quote.
