Who They're For and What They Solve
Drywall installation is the process of measuring, cutting, and fastening gypsum board panels to framing studs and ceiling joists. Installers select the right board thickness and type for each room, then secure sheets with screws in a set pattern so the surface sits flat and stays put permanently.
You need drywall installation any time framing is exposed and a space has to become usable. That covers new construction, room additions, garage and basement conversions, rebuilds after water damage, and layout changes where old walls come out and new partition walls go in.
Without board on the studs, a space stays unfinished, uninsulated from sound, and out of code compliance. Poor installation is worse. Sheets fastened on a bad pattern telegraph seams, sag, or crack once the house settles, and no amount of finishing work hides framing that was boarded wrong.
Is It Time?
Most people know the moment. Here are the situations that bring them to us.
Our Services
We handle the full scope of installation across residential and commercial projects, matching board type and thickness to each application.
Full-scope board on fresh framing. We lay out sheet placement to minimize seams, hang walls and ceilings in sequence, and fasten to a screw pattern that holds flat through settling. Framing goes in bare and comes out ready for tape.
Overhead board demands different material and technique. We use 5/8-inch sag-resistant panels on ceilings, set fasteners on tighter spacing, and support long spans properly so you never get the bellied, wavy ceiling that shows under every light fixture.
Bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens get moisture-resistant board or cement backer where tile is going. Garage-to-house walls, shared walls, and commercial assemblies get Type X fire-rated board installed to the assembly spec the code requires.
New interior walls, closet builds, and full garage conversions. We board both faces, handle corners and returns cleanly, and coordinate around electrical and insulation so nothing gets buried wrong.
Not sure which approach your situation needs? We assess first and recommend only what’s necessary, no upsells.
Why Homeowners Choose Mr. Local Services
Your start date goes in writing on the estimate. Our crew shows up on it. We don't overbook and we don't bump you for a bigger job.
You get pricing by sheet count and square footage before we touch anything. On a defined scope, that number is the number you pay.
In-house crews only, never subcontracted labor. The same people who bid your job are the ones fastening sheets to your studs.
If any sheet fails a straightedge check after we hang it, we pull it and re-hang it at no cost to you. In writing.

How It Works
Call 951-458-6466 and we schedule a walkthrough within 24 hours. We measure every wall and ceiling and count sheets on site.
You receive an itemized quote listing board type, sheet count, and labor, with a firm start date attached. Nothing begins until you approve it.
Board is delivered and stocked, plastic barriers go up, and crews hang walls and ceilings in sequence. Scrap leaves the site daily.
The owner checks every surface with a straightedge before we call it done. You get flat, fastened board ready for tape.
Pricing
We price openly because guessing helps nobody. Drywall installation typically runs $2.00 to $3.50 per square foot for hanging, or roughly $55 to $95 per 4×8 sheet installed, depending on scope.
Cost moves on four things: total square footage, board type and thickness, ceiling versus wall work, and access difficulty like high ceilings or tight stairwells. Fire-rated and moisture-resistant board costs more than standard panel.
A standard 12×12 room usually lands between $900 and $1,600 for installation. Call 951-458-6466 and we’ll count sheets on site and put a real number in writing.
Installation is hanging and fastening the board. Finishing is taping, mudding, and sanding the seams afterward to make them invisible.
We do both. Most customers book installation and finishing together so one crew carries the job from framing to paint-ready.
A single room typically takes one day. A full house or large addition usually runs three to five days depending on square footage.
We can. If board has to come down before we hang, our drywall demolition service handles removal and haul-away so framing is clear on install day.
Yes. We carry a state contractor license, $2M general liability, and full workers' compensation on every crew member.
Standard board for most walls, 5/8-inch sag-resistant for ceilings, moisture-resistant in wet areas, Type X where fire rating is required. We specify it on the estimate.
Call 951-458-6466 and we'll schedule a site measure within 24 hours. Estimates are free and itemized.
Your framing is waiting and every trade behind you is waiting too. Call now and we’ll measure, quote, and lock a start date you can build the rest of your schedule around.
